About the dairy
- Bornholms Andelsmejeri / St. Clement was established in 1950 under the name Bornholmske Mejeriers Andelsosteri (Cooperative Cheesery of the Bornholm Dairies). Mainly Danish Blue cheese was produced in the beginning, and later the production of other cheeses began. The milk was obtained from the other dairies on Bornholm.
- At the large dairy merger in 1970, Bornholm's Cooperative Dairy was founded, and then there were two dairies left on the island.
- Since 1972, Bornholm's cooperative dairy has been the only dairy on the island. The dairy produces both cheese, butter and liquid milk products and supplies school milk to the island's schools.
